eXo collections
The eXo collections (eXoDOS, eXoWin3x, eXoWin9x, eXoScummVM, eXoDREAMM and the others), their scripts and their curated game lists are the work of eXo and the eXoDOS team. NostalgiApp runs their scripts as they ship them. The Quick Start game list and its artwork are eXo's, used with their permission. Visit retro-exo.com.
Media service
With a NostalgiApp licence, the media service adds pictures and details to your own ROMs. It is built from:
- Box art, title screens and screenshots: libretro-thumbnails.
- Game details (descriptions, release years, developers, publishers, genres, ratings): game data from IGDB.com.
- Game names: the No-Intro lists, through libretro-database.
Your own accounts
ScreenScraper, Steam, GOG, Epic, RetroAchievements and the other services are reached with your own sign-ins. What they send stays on your computer.
Software
NostalgiApp is built with open-source software, each under its own licence, including Sparkle (Mac), Tauri and SolidJS (Windows), librqbit, pdf.js, hls.js and Lucide icons. Games run in RetroArch, DOSBox, ScummVM, DREAMM, MAME and the other emulators, which are their authors' work.
Removal requests
Box art, screenshots and footage remain the property of their publishers and rights holders. If you own something the media service serves and want it removed, write to [email protected] and say what it is. It will be taken off the service.
